# Test equipment and inspection deadlines

> Inspection intervals per tool, early-warning list, inspection record with readings and certificate – the manufacturers' test equipment lists are built in.

Torque wrenches, diagnostic testers, high-voltage test adapters, A/C service stations: test equipment has to be inspected or calibrated at fixed intervals, and at the audit the proof counts. Tulz keeps the interval for every tool subject to inspection, reminds in time and stores the record with readings, inspector and certificate.

The vehicle manufacturers' test equipment lists are built in: when the workshop creates a tool from them, Tulz asks for the last inspection and sets the interval. If a tool is needed despite an overdue inspection, the foreman can consciously postpone the deadline – with a reason in the record.

## How it works in the workshop

1. **Set the interval** – per tool or as a default per category; inspection templates define what is checked and which readings belong to it.
2. **Early-warning list** – due and soon-due inspections appear on the overview and arrive daily by e-mail to foreman and store.
3. **Inspect** – enter result, readings and certificate (PDF); for external calibration the tool goes out with a calibration dispatch and comes back with its record.
4. **Check-out** – if an inspection is overdue, Tulz points it out at check-out.

## What comes with it

- Inspection templates with check points and readings ([Inspection templates](https://tulz.work/en/help/article/inspection-templates))
- Calibration dispatch to the service provider with pick list ([Calibration dispatch](https://tulz.work/en/help/article/calibration-shipment))
- Correct or delete inspections – with log ([Correcting an inspection](https://tulz.work/en/help/article/correct-an-inspection))
- Inspection dates as a calendar subscription in Outlook or Google ([Calendar subscription](https://tulz.work/en/help/article/calendar-subscription))
- Manufacturers' tool lists with mandatory and recommended equipment per model
- Electrical safety testing of power tools following the same pattern

## Who it is for

Workshops that have to prove their test equipment – franchised dealers with manufacturer audits, high-voltage workshops, anyone with torque wrenches. ## Frequently asked questions

### Is the record from Tulz enough for the audit?

The record contains date, inspector, result, readings and the service provider's certificate as PDF – everything an auditor wants to see. Print-out and export are possible at any time.

### What happens if I postpone the inspection?

The deadline is moved with a reason, the tool stays usable; the record keeps showing that no inspection took place.

### Can I set intervals for many tools at once?

Yes – as a default per category or via bulk editing.
