# Deleting entries: what happens

Almost everything you create in Tulz can be deleted again – with *Delete* in the list or at the bottom of the form. Tulz asks first and tells you what goes with it. Where other entries still refer to it, the name stays in the history.

### Master data

- **Suppliers** (*Administration → Suppliers*): purchase orders keep the supplier's name but lose email and customer number. Tools keep the supplier entered on them.
- **Categories, storage locations, qualifications**: tools only lose the assignment, sub-locations move up one level, and the certificates of a qualification are removed with it.
- **Sites** (head office): as soon as no tools or employees are assigned any more and no pick lists with open loans are running. Storage locations, stocktakes, closed pick lists, purchase orders, kiosk devices and the site's recycle bin go with it; loans remain in the history.
- **Tools** go to the *Recycle bin*, where they can be restored or deleted permanently.

### Employees

An employee without loan or inspection history is deleted completely. With history you choose *Deactivate* (the name stays visible and the account can be reactivated later) or *Delete permanently*: name, username, email, staff number, passkeys, NFC cards and qualifications are gone, and the history shows "Former employee". Return open loans first.

### Bookings

- **Loans** (foreman, tool issue, administrator): *Delete* in the loan list removes e.g. a wrong booking. An open loan frees the tool immediately; a returned one disappears from the history.
- **Reservations**: cancel active ones; delete cancelled, expired and redeemed ones under *History* – your own, or all with the permission to manage reservations for everyone.
- **Pick lists, inspections, damage reports, stocktakes and purchase orders**: *Delete* on the respective page. Purchase orders in any status – tools created at goods receipt are kept.
- **Site requests**: cancel open ones; delete completed, declined and cancelled ones.

### Other

- **Your own ideas** (*Help & support → Ideas & requests*) as long as they are not planned, in progress or implemented.
- **Support requests**: *Withdraw* as long as nobody has replied.
- **Requests in the customer area**: *Withdraw* as long as they are *in progress*. A cancellation is taken back with *Withdraw cancellation*.
- **Network group**: whoever created it can *dissolve* it; existing links remain.
- **Templates, webhooks, API keys, kiosk devices, NFC cards, passkeys, devices, signatures, documents and pictures**: right where they are.

Not deleted are **invoices** created by Tulz (statutory retention – they are corrected with a cancellation invoice) and the **log**; Tulz clears old log entries itself after the configured retention period.
