Shortly before the end of the working day, Tulz reminds everyone who still has tools that are due back today – with the tool and its storage location, as a notification in the bell and as a push message on the phone. The tool crib gets a list of what is still out. So nothing ends up in someone else's tool trolley overnight.

Switching it on (administrator)
- Administration → Settings → Reminders, section End-of-day reminder.
- Tick Remind staff before the end of the day about tools due back today.
- Choose the Time – about half an hour before the end of the shift, e.g. 16:30.
- On these days: tick the working days (Monday to Friday by default).
- Optionally Also tools without a return date that were issued today – for workshops where tools come back the same day.
- Tool crib and foreman get a list – on or off.
- Save.
Who gets what?
- Every employee with tools due today or overdue (and, if enabled, issued today without a date): End of day: please return 2 tools – with inventory number, name and storage location. A tap opens My day, where they can return the tools directly.
- Tool crib and foremen per site: End of day: 5 tools are still out – with 3 employees. A tap opens Loans → Due back today.
The Due back today list is always available under Loans – even without the reminder.
Good to know
- The reminder is sent once a day. If the cron job fails and only runs again hours later, it is skipped for that day – so nobody is woken up at night.
- It only reaches the phone if push notifications are enabled (see Enable push notifications on your phone). Everyone can choose under My profile → Notifications whether to receive it via bell, push or not at all.
- Tools in a personal kit, issued permanently, are not included.
