Torque wrenches, measuring devices and other inspection equipment usually go to a calibration service in one batch. The calibration shipment compiles them, prints the delivery note, blocks them for loans and records result and certificate for all of them at once when they come back.
Compiling a shipment
- Inspections → Calibration shipment → Compile shipment (anyone allowed to record inspections).
- Choose the calibration service from your suppliers or enter it freely, plus Expected back and a note (e.g. order number, collection date).
- The list shows the inspection equipment due – Show all tools requiring inspection adds the others. Tick and Compile shipment.
Tools on loan are marked: take them back first, then ship them. On the shipment page you can add more tools by number or scan.
Shipping
Print delivery note – with inventory and serial number, last inspection and signature fields – and enclose it. Shipped sets all tools to Under inspection; they cannot be borrowed until they return. If the calibration service is set up under Suppliers with an email address, Email the calibration service opens your email program with the list of devices.
Recording the return
- Enter the inspection date (for all).
- Choose the result for each tool (All: passed sets all at once) – leave tools that are still at the calibration service empty.
- Leave Next inspection empty and Tulz uses the tool's inspection interval; costs per tool if you like.
- Upload certificates in one go: if the inventory or serial number is in the file name (e.g. "WZ-0042_calibration.pdf"), Tulz assigns each file automatically.
- Record return.
Passed tools are available again immediately, failed ones are set to Defective. Every inspection appears as usual in the tool's inspection log. If tools are still on their way, the shipment stays open and is completed later.
Delete resets tools that have not been booked back yet to their previous status; recorded inspections remain.
