Cases and tool trolleys: issue the contents and tick them off

Help › Tools

An engine timing case or a fully equipped tool trolley holds individual tools, each with its own inventory number and inspection date. Set up the case as a container: the contents go out automatically when it is issued, are ticked off on return – and anything missing stays with the employee.

Container or parts?

You can combine both.

Entering the contents (tool crib, foremen, administrators)

  1. Open the tool page of the case or trolley.
  2. In the Contents (case/trolley) section under Put tool in, enter or scan the inventory numbers – one per line.
  3. Add.

The tools in the case show in container on their page, with a link to the case. Take out removes a tool again. A tool can only be in one container, containers cannot be nested, and the case and its contents belong to the same site (at most 100 tools per container).

Issuing

When you issue the case – via Issue tool, pick list, kiosk or scan – Tulz issues all free tools inside it to the same employee. The confirmation lists them: Issued together with KO-0003: …. Anything currently not in the case (borrowed individually, defective, under inspection) is mentioned: Missing from KO-0003: …. If a tool inside is reserved for someone else, it stays in stock – Tulz tells you which one to take out of the case. Extend and Hand over apply to the case together with its contents.

Returning

When the case is returned – by scanning it at the return desk, from the loans list or under My day – Tulz first opens Check contents: all tools issued with it, preset as returned. If one is missing, untick it – it stays on loan to the employee and Tulz reports Missing from the container and still on loan to ….

If a tool from the case is returned on its own, it counts as returned; the case stays on loan.

Deleting

If the case is deleted, its contents are free again – the tools themselves are kept.
