Search for a tool

Type into the search field in the header (on the phone behind the magnifying glass) or in the tool list – from two characters on (including short numbers such as "T8" or "E4") suggestions appear without pressing Enter: photo, number, name, manufacturer, storage location, status and "with Max Mustermann" if it is currently on loan. Everything recorded on the tool is found: inventory number, name, OEM/manufacturer/supplier numbers, serial number, NFC tag, vehicles and engine codes, parts, notes, plus storage location ("Cabinet 3"), category, site and the employee with the open loan. Spelling doesn't matter: "VAS 6767", "vas6767" and "VAS-6767" find the same, "V.A.G 1331" = "VAG1331", "T 10007 B" = "T10007B", "Ölfilter" = "Oelfilter", "3418-1" = "34181". Several words narrow the search – "timing belt golf" only finds tools to which both apply. Arrow keys select a suggestion, Enter opens it (Escape closes); Enter without a selection shows the filtered list as before, as does "Show all n results". An exactly typed or scanned number (inventory number, other number, serial number, NFC tag, QR label) jumps straight to the tool page. With several sites, matches from "Other sites" are also shown for reference. The 📷 button scans as before. In Loans → Issue tool a selected suggestion enters the inventory number into the field.
