A tool management system that only runs on the office PC does not get used. Tulz is made for the hand that is dirty right now: big buttons, scanning with the camera, return in two taps. On the phone Tulz sits as an app on the home screen, without an app store.
If the shop floor has no Wi-Fi, Tulz collects the scans and books them as soon as the connection is back. Notifications come by push: tool is free, inspection due, request from the network.
How it works in the workshop
- Install – open your workshop's address in the browser, "Add to home screen", done (Home screen app).
- Scan – the phone camera reads QR codes and barcodes, NFC tags on the tool work with one tap (Using phone and tablet).
- Offline – without network Tulz shows the queue; it is processed automatically (Offline on the shop floor).
- Notifications – switch on push, choose per type what you want to know (Switching on push).

Tulz runs as a web app directly in the browser and is placed on the home screen – no app store, no manual updates. That works on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows and Mac.
Which devices are suitable for the shop floor?
Any phone or tablet with a camera; for the kiosk an inexpensive Android tablet with a mount. Rugged devices are possible but not necessary.
What happens in dead spots?
